On November 14, the 2024 Laboratory Open Day & Undergraduate Research Group Matching Session was held at the 1002 academic lecture hall in the Enming Building. The event, hosted by Yang Yiheng, a representative from the Student Union, sought to provide academic orientation and research guidance for undergraduates and promote their academic performance and all-round development.

Major attendees included six professors and their laboratory representatives. As the event kicked off, they respectively introduced their research interests, outcomes, and requirements for prospective undergraduate members.

The subsequent matching session featured lively and in-depth discussions between students and teachers. Many believed the event offered insights into the research areas and application scenarios of their major and expected to join the laboratories for further studies. Moreover, face-to-face interviews and selections would be arranged with the teachers, in light of laboratory needs and student interests.

To encourage innovation and practice among students, the School of Software Engineering has built a wide range of academic exchange platforms. For example, Frontiers in Software: Academic Salons, Skill-Acquiring Workshops, and other activities have been initiated to improve students’ innovative capability and academic excellence. These efforts have provided favorable conditions for students to make academic progress and technological breakthroughs.
