On March 31st, the comprehensive performance evaluation meeting of the national key R&D program broadband communication and new networks key special project titled “Based on Full-dimension Definable New Network Architectures and Key Technologies” was held at the Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 50 people attended the meeting, including the leaders from the High-tech Research and Development Centerof the Ministry of Science and Technology, the leaders from CNIC, as well as representatives from the comprehensive project performance evaluation expert group, project responsible experts, project leading units and project participating units.
After listening to the report, watching the demonstration, inspecting results, and questioning, the expert group concluded that the project successfully fulfilled the research tasks and assessment indicators outlined in the mission statement, achieving the expected goals. The project developed the Network 5.0 system architectures and a series of standards and published standards in international standardization organizations such as ITU-T and IETF. Among them, the first international standard for computingpower networks was formulated, which has significant domestic and international influence.
After deliberation, the expert group unanimously agreed that the project had passed the comprehensive performance evaluation.
