I.Program Objectives

The Digital Media Technology Major is for the training of high-quality technological talents in digital media projects, who possess solid theoretical foundations, refined knowledge structure, wide-ranging skills and areas of distinctive expertise, and are adaptive, competitive and adept at teamwork. Graduates should be qualified to work in the production, distribution, operation, management and consumer’s service of digital media content, and perform technological innovation and research in digital media and related fields. 

 Ⅱ.Learning Outcomes

The graduates will be equipped with relevant knowledge and abilities, specifically the following:

1. Good professional ethics and entrepreneurship; be capable of providing service for the economic and social development of the State;

2. Theoretical basis and expertise of digital media industry;

3. Ability to employ advance engineering methods, technologies and tools for the production, dissemination, operation, management, and consumer service of digital media industry, to engage in teamwork, and to compete in their own arena;

4. Ability to conduct scientific research in digital media to develop new engineering methods and production platforms;

5. A foreign language; ability to read, comprehend and write materials in foreign language, as well as conduct international communication;

6. Ability to search documents and relevant information and write research thesis;

7. Self-study ability and innovation awareness;

8. Literacy and capacity to adapt to society and post of duty.

 Ⅲ.Program Highlights

1. The program integrates theoretical and practical education together to offer students the knowledge and expertise required by digital media industry;

2. Original foreign textbooks are directly employed in some courses of the program. Such courses will be taught bilingually or by foreign expert;

3. Advance teaching mode of overseas colleges and universities will be introduced into the program. Theoretical teaching hours will be reduced and optimized to allow more time for the practice of students through program design and project practice;

4. Graduation project of students will be accomplished in software enterprises or through development and practices of project.
